Suppose to be low of 15 tonight. Burning first full load of white oak. Just loaded up, going to choke down over the next 30 minutes or so and turn in. Just enough time for one more pop.

You live at the 44th parallel and are going up to cross the 45th, I'm not trying to be a wise guy, just saying. The 43rd is more my way. Have a cold one for me at "The Buck Rub Pub" I haven't been in there in years.
25 here, dropping to the teens this evening. Loading the stove with cherry for the day, we got around 6” of snow yesterday. Going clean up snow and move some oak to the house for the cold week ahead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20f this morning with nothing going on outside. Nothing except a few lights, that is. Should get close to 30 with sunshine today.
5 feels like -2, 74 IAT, just reloaded with KD oak. High in the upper teens today but the wind will be lower. I got about 2/3 of that cord of wood inside over the last 2 days and today will be perfect to finish. I like working in this weather, not too sweaty. The wood goes a little faster though, only getting about a 10 hour burn before the coals are down enough to shovel out some ash. It’s been 12-14 hours most of the winter so far. The cold and especially the wind want to suck the wood right up the chimney it seems at times.
-19 in Berlin this morning, must be close on Mt Well Seasoned im guessing, and I can’t imagine Mt Washington.
Maina, close..... Current temp -16°F heading up to 17°F today. I did reload the stove at 3:45 a.m. because something triggered the driveway alarm and I couldn't get back to sleep. House still toasty at 74°F Chickens look a little frosty! Thanks NH mountain man, I don't know what parallel I was in when I wrote that! Loon, can ya throw one across the border, I can't find any of those.... yooperdave, will it work without any hair?
Might work better that way! You know, those "yooper chooks"...........I can't say for sure that they are actually made in the U.P. or not......couldn't find out for sure.
Was supposed to drop to -16 f last night, but the clouds moved in and kept it to -9 and thankfully NO wind. Woke up to 73 here in the cave and have now kicked both stoves in the arse to get going.
The sun has finally risen, although it is so low it is not above the trees. The oat temp has dropped to 7.
