My best friends Dad hooked us up! He has lots of wood already cut and stacked. He told my Dad and myself to take all we want. The wood is within a mile of my house and only 5 miles from my parents place. We took out three loads today and will be busy next week. He has pallets of wood stacked all over the farm. Mostly ash, cherry and hickory.

I like the stone building in the background in the first pic. I have a one car garage set into a hill made of the stones that came from digging out the hill it is set into. Just mortared together rocks. Great-grandfather built it.

That is the back of a very old barn. The house on the property dates back to the 1840’s.

That is super generous of your friend's dad! Does he just have more than he can burn?

He has an ample supply on hand and he cuts wood like a beaver. He is 78 and hand splits every piece he burns.

That agrees with a theory of mine about how to stay vigorous in old age!
