My neighbor wants this path widened to 50’. So 10-15’ of woods needs to be cut. ITS ALMOST ALL SHAGBARK HICKORY!!!! 1 red oak and a few ash but the rest shagbark. Nothing big but 12-20” trees. I’m happy. I got 2 loads of logs out today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That looks like a lot of fun, and great BTU'S. Plus you're got easy access and a tractor. It might get a but more interesting with some snow though.
Yep, I may get another load out in the morning, wait and see what the weather does Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's too much for one or two guys. I just may have to fire up the green truck and pick up Horkn on the way there!
I got some maple from along a cranberry bog a few years back. "Take anything that creates a shadow on the south side of the bog" she said. I got a little over two cords. But man oh man there were some deep wet water control ditches the maples had grown up in. I don't think I'd do it again without getting paid. Hardwood on flat land is nice !
sweet, I'm in Northern Indiana and I'm not to worried about the snow. Seems folks are soft now a days when it comes to snow.Love hickory, just don't get a lot of it around here.
I rarely have the chance to get hickory. I have one nice hickory tree on my property. I go a mile down the road and this particular woods is 90% shagbark. Society is getting softer by the day!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
