Anyone ever change a Toyota Car oil filter with that plastic housing?

That's kinda how it is on my audi, except I have a cartridge filter, underneath a small plastic "filter cover" with the 4 rings on it. No drips at all just pull the filter up a little and let it set so the residual oil drips off.

I have changed the oil in a Saab that had a similar setup. Conversely, on the Tundras they put a cartridge filter on that the front skid must be removed to change and I believe a special filter housing socket is needed.

What year tundra? Our v8 4.7 4runner is almost a skid plate dropper. I used to do it that way, then I realized that if I break out my " monkey arm" I can get the filter off by stuffing my arm down between the belt, pulleys, block, radiator, frame, and power steering hoses. Plenty of room. Lol

If I'm lucky I can hold onto the filter , keep it upright to spill less oil, and not drop it making a huge mess of drain oil all over the skid plate and floor.

If I didn't figure out my trick for 4runner oil changes, I would've added a remote oil filter.
