    Morning all. Not raining out and not frosty. Perfect walking weather. I had a really fun day yesterday, meeting up with old friends. Did a lot of laughing. Regular work today with all those enthusiastic students coming back from "Winter Break". campinspecter fixed Mom's sidewalk yesterday while I had fun.

    30 degrees and raining just did the pick up and drop off of 3 kids after basketball game.. Roads are iffy..

    I only have one, but some of the other parents really appreciate and not having to go out on nights like this..

    Here in the mpls metro area we went from 43f yesterday afternoon, with several inches of standing water on the ice, to 14f now. NW winds were gusting up to 44mph today.

    Ice on the lake yesterday was holding at 13" but the top layer was infused with water, leaving only 9.5" of good clear ice. We will be making more ice the next few nights before reaching the low 30s by the weekend. North shore had another 8-12" of snow yesterday.
