As kids we would get the neighborhood kids all together on the golf course and have contests to see who could go the longest. The course connects to my old backyard.

My first job was as a paperboy in 70's. A lot of the customers payed me in change. My mother's father pointed out some pre-64 silver coins in my pile, and told me I should keep them because they would hold their value. Sure enough gas was .25 cents per gallon the year I was born in 1964, and now that same coin's melt value will buy at least a gallon of gas.

I collected stamps at the time, and for some reason didn't care as much for coins, but since then I have learned.

I still like fishing with old bamboo cane poles for panfish. We had a family lake house that was full of treasures including a lot of old fishing equipment and spent hours on the bank or off the dock as kids with the old gear, complete with black dacron line, a cork, a sinker and a hook baited with worms from a coffee can. We caught an awful lot of fish too!

I still use the old lures especially the lazy ike and bass-0-reno.

First thought was flypaper, but the picture on it looks like what we use to call jew strap. The coil of stuff looks like emery cloth.
Edit: Upon closer look my guess is a roll of caps for your revolver.

    [IMG]And here is mine.

When I was 4, I received my first lesson about electricity. That was 64 years ago and it is about the only "CLEAR" memory I have about being 4. To learn this, I took one of the old time STEEL fishing poles and reached up, poking it into a light socket which was lacking a bulb.

Boy, I'm a young pup of 55 but I can recognize most everything posted! Thanks for thread-entertainment while I am sitting here on a dreary day watching football.
