So today is fun Top right you can see a maple hung up with vines......dropped this other into it to bring it down. Usually works...... instead kicked it more upright......back to house to unload gator and get tractor. Work safe and enjoy 12E23B1B-0757-475A-B9B8-A6D9767014B1.jpeg 5B1B233F-3F9E-47E7-B3B2-4FB18D9B63CD.jpeg CC487C0C-E5D0-4C19-A7C1-0D34569C5B2E.jpeg

I bought my place 6 years ago. I’ve been cutting vines like that ever since. They kill a lot of trees. I think I’m getting them under control

Thank you, we only own part of the land but the owner lets me buck the blow downs back there. The tree has different names depending on where you live. Manly called Ironwood here but it is actually Hophornbeam. Did some research on it and is a really cool tree. I guess the hop come from its fruit because it resembles a hop plant. the horn is because they used them for yokes and beam because yep you guessed it they were used for beams. Also the Amish liked them for wagon axels. You should have them in NH.
