Sounds like a great ride! Any nasty weather during all those miles.

Heading North through the salt flats, as soon as I got out of the flats I heard the loudest thunder I have ever heard in my life, and crazy down pour.. 15 minutes later it was all over.. Also, we stopped at Palm springs for a night, on the way there it was a 100 year record breaking heat or something.. Boiled the clutch fluid and I had a hard time changing gears till AZ..

Wish I could have experienced it. I love that track. I had the opportunity to visit it once. Nothing happening at the time, but it was still an epic experience. Saw a bobcat as we walked up to the corkscrew.

Nice looking motorcycle. How many miles on it, and did you buy it new?

The Wood Wolverine , how is that multistrada treating you? I'm seeing them come up for sale for not a ton of money, but a lot of bike.

Close, but the tdm 850 was after the super tenere, well the original super tenere. The original super tenere was a 750cc. That was a twin cylinder version of the OG tenere.

I had a neighbor that had a tdm850. We'd ride a few places together, with me on my tl1000s, and him on the tdm, we got a lot of "wtf were those bikes" looks.

It been awesome. Best motorcycle on planet earth IMO. Very very comfortable full blown sportbike/tourer. Did that make sense? I let a friend ride mine and he went out and got one for himself. One of the other 3 in our group wants one too. We’re seeing them in the 7,000 and up range. Unbelievable really. Like you said, it’s a ton of bike for the money. One main issue, fuel sensors. I’ve had one fail. Other than that, it’s been perfect.

My boss at the bike shop has a super tenere. After I bought the Duc, I let him take it out for a ride. He came back with a huge grin. Said it had wayyyyy more power than his Yammie.

She has done 50000 miles in total. I bought it in 2008. I think I did some 20000 miles in those ten years now. Love it deeply!

Indeed, The TDM850 followed my ST 750 in Europe. After that nothing until 2008 I think. The "new" ST is a 1200 cc since than.

Do you own other bikes? I don't know how you kept the mileage down on this beauty, either that or you spending too much time cutting/splitting and all that other boring stuff called life. :)

No it's my only bike. I'm afraid I will have to go for the "boring" stuff to answer your question :D. Hard working family father with a wife and 2 kids (with lots of hobby's) and a nice home to keep in shape and ofcourse hoarding, cutting, splitting and stacking firewood ! Besides wanting to ride my bike a little more, I'm happy with my life :smoke:.
