I'm new to the forum here; I'd like to introduce to everyone something that is simply awesome!

Chain Protect keeps me from burying my chain in the dirt, it acts as a stand, and increases safety. And, if your chain becomes disengaged it will wrap around the Chain Protect.

The ChainProtect is a super replacement/alternate to the Stump Vise, and at a much better price. Check out all our videos, photos, and blog on our site: www.chainprotect.com.

We are a Colorado company, and regular chainsaw operators. This is ideal for users of all ages, skill level, and comfort level.

    Check us out!!

likely works fine until it rattles loose and the cutters grab it........ Unless i have a large bar that destroys the balance on my saws the spikes hold things up just fine. course then there is the issue of the 10-14" bar, 30-40 or cc units with no spikes.

I could see this being useful for someone new who has a tendency not to hold the saw back as it nears the bottom of it's cut. Some of the logs I cut though are a bigger diameter than my bar so it would just need to be removed for that...and probably not put back on.
I like the gadget but wouldn't use it myself.

Now that's pretty funny.... Ya, the chain protect would probably be most beneficial to someone who uses a chainsaw periodically, or not frequently. I've operated chainsaws for many years now, and still there are times when I get going to fast and accidentally bury the chain.... and I hate that lol...

Other than that, I really do appreciate all the replies.... I didn't expect that many and haven't signed on here lately (been busy fixing the house from hail damage)...

Until next time, happy cutting everyone!
