Up to 44 outside, 75 in here, tee shirt temps. Slight chance of a wintery mix by morning and 25.

30F here, had a dusting of snow that iced up the roads, but I bet measures 1/4". Ground was just warm enough to melt & then re freeze. Supposed to be 30's & 40's for the next 6 days. Local weather guy says to expect Winter between Jan 11 & 17th. Supposed to set in then. We'll see. Silver Maple in the boiler.

Starting cooling back off, was a nice day in the woods after work. My work buddy is helping, we are using Skandics and 10 foot sleighs to get the wood out. The sleighs are loaded down for tomorrow’s load. Tomorrow’s my Friday so I may not cut after work but have a pickup load ready to come home. 3D152567-82DF-41EB-9A83-F80845EAC3DE.jpeg A0FC2CCA-AD81-47C3-8DFB-C75C939F2EE9.jpeg EFBE6BF4-0B9F-4B3F-9514-112B8DBAF261.jpeg 18F9014C-BB51-4C16-A3A1-13F41941B749.jpeg 6F69FD70-0993-4460-BDE1-25527BD2AF82.jpeg AAF5974A-1156-4FBE-892A-94406FC6E64E.jpeg 423A8E0C-100F-4547-A022-0A1F82D624D0.png C467E891-0AA0-4BF3-8FDC-5794CE8E47F2.png C80A1841-2F3B-4D96-84D8-8AE900BBE804.jpeg

Still stuck in way above normal warm weather, temps were a couple degrees above freezing today, and still are. Supposed to drop a few below overnight. Poor springer spaniel is making snow balls with her feet and can't even walk on tile. Time to trim that toe fur. Little bit of poplar heating the way.

25 and snowing this morning, we have a couple inches and should total around 4” by the time it’s done around 10 am or so. Supposed to be in the upper 30’s later with sunshine. It’s 75 inside and I just put a pine split on the coals to burn them down and wait for the snow to end.

We go below freezing at night, so the ground gets a little firm. But yesterday I was rolling rounds out of the dirt, and they weren't stuck to the ground. I'm liking the weather for working outside, but Im not running heavy equipment like you...

10 F here. What the heck? Snow coming down and more on the ground than I expected. Haven’t been outside yet but we definitely got a few inches at least. Maple and Ash in the boiler.

6.3 °F for the over night low. It should get warm enough today to melt the ice off the side roads. It seems that on New Years Eve the city, county and state plow crews had the day off and with everyone driving around it just packed the snow into ice in no time. They're calling for more snow on Saturday night into Sunday morning.

I hope that helps with plowing my drive, I still have about 150' left to clear.

Still incredible temp wise here. It was hovering above/below freezing last night and hanging in a few above freezing at the moment. I'd prefer lower temps to avoid melting but I suppose it won't last long anyways but nice to get a reprieve. Might be some BBQ action this evening.:grizz:

Anyway, low 30's here with anticipation of getting above freezing shortly. The highways should clean up nicely now.

Night temps around 30F for a few days. Warm front went through last night with wind and rain and low of 48F. House was 68F this morning even though I leave two opposite windows cracked for a mite of fresh air. A cursory burn of deodar this morning for the cheer of it!

A warm 35 OST. 72 IST Black Locust a brick of saw dust and a piece or 2 of Ash. Temps are supposed to climb over the weekend. Not a bad thing.Less wood usage means more drying time.Almost 50 Saturday may shut it down and clean the chimney cause it's been a few months and my wood only has 2 years in high humidity for dry times.
