    Well, we had plans to go to blacksmith's cousin's barn for our annual New Years eve party, but my wife and I have been down with the flu since last Thursday. Worst flu I've ever had. Starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel now, I think.

    Sorry you both had to go through that. Was it the flu were you have no appetite, and are slightly nauseous all the time? I had that and it was miserable.

    No, this one was were it felt like an elephant was standing on your head, on and off low-grade fever w/chills and sweats, achy all over, vicious cough......

    It's miserable. I still have some cough, but I think it's starting to break.....

    That and the treats that are made in preparation for the holidays. She opened up the four boxes of cookies, fudge, buckeyes,etc just before Christmas and saw just how many had disappeared during the "storage" stage!









    Go figure?

    Funny you mention buckeyes:rofl: :lol:! Years ago I showed my very blonde wife the nuts that come off, imagine this, buckeye trees. She said wow I make candy at Christmas called buckeyes that look like them what are the chaces of that? After looking at her and not saying a word for about a minute, I could see the wheels and cogs start to move and then she said do you think they named the candy after the nuts? Yes dear.:zip:
