My son slept awful when he was young. we tried it on several recomedations. Special diffuser and all. On several random nights we used it he slept worse. We didn't use it several times and each time we didn't use it he slept better. Hah. And no there was no light on (we put something in front or turned it so he couldn'tsee it), he has sound machines so there was not noise autible that's not normally.

Sorry to hear about the illness. We were pretty lucky to not get sick, but still didn't get as much done over the break as I would have liked to. Spent a lot of good quality time with the family, so it is definitely not a loss.

No, they’re carbon tipped. I wondered about that too, it it was some sort of protective tip or something. They’re attached; and they work great! They sink right into the wood, which is counterintuitive to what you think when you look at them. I don’t know why they’re designed with that tip, but it works- when I’m back at the house I’ll try to remember to snap a close-up pic and post it so you can see it better.

Isn’t the carbide cutter shaped that way in order to secure the wood? A round sharp point would slip off easily, unless it was well buried into the piece.

I think you’re right, and if it was just a point they could bend/break easier if they hit a piece of wood at an angle...
