Didn't make it to midnight, missed it it by just a little bit....if 7:30 pm is close.

Did I miss anything? Another Maria Carey meltdown perhaps? World peace breaks out? Coke and Pepsi finally becoming friends? Inquiring minds need to know!

There is a great bit of news regarding SAC this morning. Seems someone tweeted that since NY drops a ball, SAC is ready to drop something a bit stronger if needed (or something like that)!!

Then all the snowflakes jumped in after getting their feelings hurt.

 

I made it later than I expected....11:00, and only because I took a nap for about an hour at my inlaws. Its a kinda meh "holiday" to me.

Hoping to finish the shop cleaning project today. It’s fairly wet out there today I have been able to avoid making my yard a mud mess so I’ll keep it that way.

 

Caffeine going in. Time to wake up. Went to bed right after the ball dropped and got up about 8.
Today my son and I will ride the four wheelers and also do some trail work together. I’ll also hang out with wife and all kids doing nothing for part of the day!

My New Years resolution is to walk and do a little jogging through our woods more than I already do. I need to drop a few pounds and I can’t think of a better way than walking through a beautiful landscape of trees.

Opening up new trails continues to be a top priority. In between all of life’s other responsibilities. There is also a LOT of cleanup to do from the logging and blown down trees. That will continue a little at a time.

 

It’s 53° this morning. Hasn’t been this warm on New Year’s Day since I can remember. Bet it isn’t going to last.

 

Wow...woke up to -3 and 20mph winds here.

No headache this am. That's nice, and honestly unexpected. I'll get out to drop those box elders and probably other wood related work and bring home the splitter.

Woke up to 8" of fresh snow and temps in the teens. Strong NW wind blowing and supposed to drop down to -6 tonight. Clean-up got done early as I want to be ready for the Penn State game this afternoon. Everyone have a great day and awesome 2019...............................

 

I drank a few ( 4-5?) shots of that dewar's on ice, a spotted cow, at least 3 glasses of bubbly, 2 glasses of red wine, an old fashioned, and 2 bourbon and cokes. We went back to sleep, seeing that we have a new bed. Drinking my wake up juice and watching the rose parade while my wife makes me some food. Then I'll head out to run the saw.

The wind has started here. It will be around until 3pm or so. It is really howling out there.
