Uh oh. I've been drinking double time tonight. Pinot noir in one hand, and some barrel aged Dewar''s scotch on a big ice block in the other.

I've been up to this since like 6 pm. We're watching all the NYE shows.

I’m stopping after my third beer. I want to get some work and play done tomorrow.

We are eating snacks every hour or so with the kids tonight like usual. All home made this year. Jalapeño Wontons, Mozzarella Sticks, Blooming Onions with dipping sauce...... did I say beer? Veggies and dip. Assorted fruits.

Yeah, we had a ton of apps tonight. Then drinking, plus other food.

I'm pretty good at pacing myself. I can ride a slight buzz for hours. Typically...

But yes, I need to get out tomorrow and get some saw time in. There's some box elders that my buddy wants taken out. He'll get his boss' skid steer to take care of the branches at least. That's a big relief. That and the new bed will help me sleep, along with the booze tonight.;)

I'll bring the ATV over by my buddy, and I'll take back the splitter to my house to split all of the ash we took down and I bucked up.

I put in several hours in the woods today. Ran the saw for a few hours, then ran 85% of what I cut back to my yard. Then split about 3/4 of that before leaving for the inlaws. Gotta try and tackle the trunk next. Not gonna be easy with an 18" bar.

Pretty whipped from the work the last few days. Once the stove is locked down, I'm gonna crawl into bed.

Don't think I'll be awake much longer for me either. 2 hours tops....but more like one more. I've been up since 4:00 this morning.

Prime rib was good; nothing to drink in the alcohol sense that is. There's always tomorrow!

We're trying to make it 10pm here to see the ball drop in EST and have sparkling applejuice with kiddo. Doubtful we will make it that long, the cheers will be earlier :handshake:

woops! Forgot to mention, his wife did include a small bag of human Jerky   I think it might have been called "Jack's", had a longhorn steer on the bag IIRC. It lasted 1.5 days :picard: All eaten now.

We baked cookies today and I made a goulash'ish spaghetti for dinner. Watching a hallmark channel like movie, New Years Eve.

I thought of you instantly when TrinitySouth99 posted the forest service truck :)
