    They're about 45 minutes south of me. When did they move to Dakota Territory? Hope they are enjoying the nice winter we are having. We won't talk about winter 2 years ago...

    Prime rib seasoned and ready for the oven! Prolly an hour or two from now?

    Stopped by a liquor store this morning (99's idea) and picked up a couple (more) bottles for Saturday's get together shin-dig. Her side of family will be showing up and they'll be hungry and a few will be thirsty...........!

    It will be a very loud house.

    Then dog and I are staying home. He's been sick, and I'm sick of people (aka dislike crowds) so he's got a new antler to chew on, and I was gonna work on my br600 blower, but disassembly shows it may not be worth fixing.

    So now I'm just working on a 12 pack plotting what to do next. Grind chains? Resize and prime some brass? Clean guns?

    Fireworks means the wife, dog, and army buddy (bangs are not good for him) and I are chilling out ... Couple drinks. Yup:drunk: no driving.. Check..
    Its a holiday.. Fireworks started at 6 pm here..

    I just hope I don't hear some urban fireworks at midnight.....aka gunfire. Some people seem to think the sky is an appropriate backstop. :eek:

    Staying in and keeping the fire tended. Just took a nap so I will likely see the new year roll in with a toast of some sparkling grape juice and a few bites of pork and kraut. There will be 4 of us partying here tonight, me, my bride, our Aussie and miss kitty.

    Just got back from a scenic lookout that many here have seen near the house overlooking the Mt Washington omni resort and the higher summits for a spectacular fireworks show! I've been there with Scotty Overkill & WeldrDave near NH mountain man's place.

    Tonight we'll probably snack a bit and maybe watch the ball drop (not bear 1998    's ball o_O) Might even make a little noise around then, we'll see.

    So my MIL ended up taking the little one last night for wife and I's anniversary. Came to pick her up tonight and brought a bunch of gross Chinese food with us. Gonna hang out here for a bit then head home.

    I'm pretty beat after a few days in the woods.
