If I threw out my front, people would laugh and point and say it so tiny it's cute, kinda, but not really.
We host a gathering in our remote part of the county, for neighbors who don’t want to be on the highways. Some neighbors just walk over. Kinda neat to have a social activity so far from civilization.
Bought a 5lb prime rib today for the two of us. i have no intentions of drinking or going out and hope to be asleep well before 2019 rears it's expectant head. Insomnia comes early for me.
MIL offered to take the kids, we may take her up on that. Go out to dinner, maybe a few drinks, but still be home long before things go sideways.
When we were younger, we use to go to Providence. With kids we've done various things to celebrate at friends houses. Personally I'm just not a fan. Providence does First Night now. Once you down into the city, you can't get out until it's over. I suspect I'll be in bed. My wife who normally goes to bed early will stay up with the kids if my son is home and the girls up for it. Yeah the excitement.
It’s an ongoing joke where I work. The young guys are always complaining about hurting their back. I told my boss I hurt my front and I wanted workmen’s comp. I guess a Hernia is hurting your front!
I am working a 12 hour shift on NYE and New Year's Day also, and the next day, and the next day............ In bed early all those nights.
NYE we'll stay at our house and enjoy the celebrations on tv, and a drink .. we stay up until at least midnight. We'll have our new bed, so we'll enjoy that new years day, sleeping in. NYD, after I sleep in, I'll get out to the wood lot and cut/ haul for a few hours. I'll bring the splitter home so I can split up the ash I cut this fall after work, or whenever. I have to see if my cutting buddy wants to help.
I have a friend that lives in Medina, moved from GA. She and her husband have a farm there, her mom and dad moved there recently.
NYE and NYD I'm finally working a 8hr day, 3-11 shift. Get home in time to see my sweetheart by 11:30. Getting off this morning @ 7AM though, make a short day. Hope all are safe. Happy NEW YEAR to all.
