We have... But it depends on the outside temp.

Below 32° - When we run Tstat mode, we keep the auger and draft setting both at 1 because the swing on the tstat is only 1° and the temp is consistent.

Above 32° - When the furnace is on fuelmizer I want the furnace off as long as possible between burns so the swing is set to 2° (set tstat to 70° - so on at 68° and off at 72°) . We set the draft to 3 and auger at 5. That way the 1 hr the furnace waits for the call for heat before shutting down, the house still builds temperature and doesn't call for heat again.

That's just what we use. But on Fuelmizer the furnace turns on and off. So we lengthen the time the furnace runs and the less time the igniter has to be used. On Tstat the swing is kept tighter, but the low burn is set lower so the house actually decreases in temp.

    If that makes sense.

I will have to double check but I think the factory default on the Auger and the draft trim is set at 3 and 3. I was just wondering if there was any benefit in heat out put burn quality..etc
The Fahrenheit .(nick named Mikey,It eats anything...And lots of it!) is doing a good job, just wondering about more tuning. Thanks for the input!

I adjust based on Tstat setting or Fuelmizer as posted above. They both have their place. But the auger and draft are adjusted accordingly

You won't get action here as this is for the Fahrenheit furnaces.
Maybe the mod can place it in the right thread?

Maximus haven't gotten back to you yet! I would find a good friend welder and fabricate one for you with 1/4" SS;)
Post some pics and hopefully start to get some action on this thread:yes:
Mine has warped badly too and need to rebuild it so I'm only running on #4.

I have an extra ramp and reburn plate, if someone can use them to make new stainless parts. But I can't get rid of them. They are my back ups.

Cleaned my Fahrenheit furnace for the first time in almost 2 months. She had about 1/4" of ash on top of the baffle plates and the ash inside the firebox was about even/over the drop chute. Any higher and it may drop back down into the pot

These furnaces are great at cleaning themselves and putting out consistent heat. No matter how dirty or clean they are!

Cleaning this furnace is one of the last things I'm worried about. The difference in the plenum air temperature was only around 5° after a full deep clean tonight. The longer we own it? The less I clean it.

I find the ash drawer smallish for a furnace. The angled sides could of been dropped in the designing process. I miss my old ash drawer from the early models:(
Dex, is your angle chute deteriorating?

No. It's not. The ash gives it a funky look.

The newest one I have (well, after running when needed since yesterday).

    And the older model.

I still have all the older parts for the previous model burn pot. That's why I offer them up, in case someone knows or wants to fab stainless parts. The old one has more parts and a one piece bottom, but I could use the old style pot while someone used my newer style burn pot in my furnace to replicate

Or are talking about the drop chute? I put a bead of furnace cement around it a few years back because I read that air leaks were common there. The furnace cement makes a nice seal and it very easily removed if need be.

The part I was talking about is the removable chute extension on the burn pot. I've put a 1/16 aluminum glass shield to protect it from the flame to prevent the glass from dirtying up and it warped after running on #5. It was very cold last night and I cranked it over night. It held up on #4. No pic :picard:

I clean mine every two weeks. The ash bucket is normally full by then, Ive got a system down it only takes me about 15 minutes. I do the chimney every four weeks. I also swap out the furnace filter every two weeks. Love my stove!

Glad to see someone else has gone down the SS route...my 1/4" SS pot will outlast the rest of the machine! Always looking for improvements, I've managed to get my stove burning significantly hotter than before...I used to burn consistently between the 127-131 degree range...now I'm up over 150...and without a lazy (gum up the works) flame...and the mod is very cost effective!

Do you have a pic? My air wash comes from the door itself.

Air wash is same as yours. I've bolted an extension on the dump gizmo in front of the burn pot where you look at the flame. It moves along with the tilting of the dump mechanism but I still get a dirty glass. It's just a trial to see if it helps. More modifications needed. Nice to see you back Maximus :D
