    Just got news a plane crashed at the village park this morning. One dead. Plane totaled and it hit a building but that does not look like much damage. One fellow said he heard the plane lose power then said it came almost straight down.

    Took the new log ox handler into the deep wood to split some rounds and haul back to the wood yard. Then we split up a bunch of odds and ends there. I had several rounds which were big and needed an extra hand to get In the he splitter.

    I dropped a dead polplar and we made short work of it. It is all split and ready to stack.

    Woodshed filled to the brim and enough split o get us through this season now working on next year and year after stacks.

    We bought a new mattress today. We went with a king up from the queen bed we have now. It gets delivered on Monday. The old mattress was tough for me to sleep on for more than about 6 hours.

    Someone has a decent pile of wood...spotted on our Christmas road trip.

    Snow today.....just enough of a steady blowing fall to keep the roads greasy. Super slow at work. Morning was pretty slow but I wonder if they even made our paycheck back this evening. Did a split 10-2 then 5-9.

    Back porch siding done. Putting up new soffit tomorrow, I hope. Ready to cross this project off the list.

    Split and stacked a ton of wood for the inlaws. Got to have a lot when combined they burn about 40ish cord a year heating 4 houses with 2 OWBs.

    We met my Dad and wife in @magpul 's part of the woods today. SO good to see them and celebrate our Christmas. SO hard to see parents age. It was a wonderful visit :)

    The best part is they said he is FINALLY going to retire and they are moving--downsizing within 2019. :dex:
