Yes I did. Today was really productive and I'm happy with what I got done. Thinking 3 more hours of trigger time before the real work starts.

IMG_3145.JPG Had plans to work more today but the 3.5" of rain last night turned everything soft. This picture is at my moms where I process all of my wood. We only get water like this when the ground is frozen and we get a quick warm up and rain. Locally, we are right around 60" for the year. Didn't even dare go out to the farm today.

Hey, don't post that pic around too far, local tax authority will hit Mom for waterfront taxes.
That makes firewooding a bit difficult. Hopefully you get some more decent weather.

IMG_3150.JPG Temp was right around 40 with 25-40 mph winds today but I got in a little under 2 hours throttle time after work. Have 9 logs left to cut but they will be 2+ cords worth. Cutting this wood sure has been hard on the chains as there's lots of sand and grit embedded in the bark.

Welcome to cutting on a deck, semi chisel chain with the rakers low & big cc saw is my method there. Dirt happens when machines are involved.

It is very interesting. I will definitely show this topic to my friend, Tom. He just writes about woodworking. I think he has something to tell you.

I took 3.5-4 cords out a few weeks ago while it was relatively dry. Got another 2.1” of unneeded rain yesterday. Not sure when it will be dry enough to haul out.

Are all the rounds stacked at your place, or have you been splitting as you go? Would like a pic of your piles if you can manage! That is a huge amount of wood. I see a helper in the background of the first pic.

If I know jrider that'll be split piled & sold in a few weeks. The man does not fool around when it comes to firewood.

kinda looks like the oak just right of the big one on top has some black staining in the end. watch out for metal in that one. :saw: don't wanna ruin your chain, or your day. nice score though!!

Honestly at this time of year it’s just get done what I can manage. Those rounds got dumped. They will get split by me or one of my helpers ( I hire out teens to help with the splitting). I don’t have any new pics but I should be able to find a picture of one of my “piles.”
