The Simington came with a course blue wheel that was profiled by Madsens and had single point diamond dressers. When I ordered the grinder I ordered 2@ salmon wheels and one grey waxed wheel. I just ordered 2@ multi-point dressers and a blue ceramic wheel. I am hoping to get it set up in the next few days, and start getting chains ground. More to follow as it happens.

Do they offer any CBN wheels ? Not a big fan of vitrified wheels. Never tried a square ground chain..... but I do have a addiction to tool and cutter grinders. I'd like to see a video also.

Not through Madsen's, there are company's that will custom make them, however I have not seen where anyone has used one for square grind. I have seen a forum discussion where they spoke about it and those that have been grinding did not think it would work well. They believed the CBN would not hold the corner of the tooth, and not being able to dress the wheel made CBN a less desirable option. Do you have any experience using a CBN to grind chain. As I gain experience with grinding chain I hope to answer you question better.

Not for square. There are adjustable diamond dressers on these grinders so you can change wheel angles to suit your own needs.
There is a company who will make whatever cbn wheel you want if you send them a pattern to copy.

I use a Dynasaw cyclone wheel in my old Oregon. Nicely made wheel still looks new after a lot of chains.

If you can make your own wheel body in steel or aluminum you can just send it out for CBN plating. It can even be stripped and replated when worn. I have a couple that I've had replated a few times.

I snapped a pic of the cyclone wheel. No dressing and the slots really help keep the tooth cool. And if you did manage to kill it you can have it replated..

Cbn wheel will not work with a swing arm. Side angles constantly need changed.

I've never seen this type of grinder in use so bear with me. Are you saying you need to keep changing the angle on the same chain ? I have looked at images of square chain and I guess I'm missing something.

Different types of chain and cutter lengths affect side angles. Nature of the beast.
