Wow! We didn't get out of the 30's yesterday and certainly did not see any sunshine. Lucky you! But it might be freezing up this weekend.
40 here and rain just started a little bit ago. Looks like we may get lots more this afternoon and tonight.
Currently 14°F heading down to 12°F overnight with snow moving in, possibly mixing with or changing over to freezing rain tomorrow mid morning, with temps expected to climb to around 39°F by midday. Burning birch and Aspen at the moment.
Oh good eats all around! Can't wait for some more food, saws, Porto-potty incidents, fireworks, bonfire, e.t.c!
Low of 18.7 °F last night but it got up to 37.4 °F with snow flurries and wind. I actually wore a jacket in the tree I was in today. Looking for the low teens tonight, maybe less, we'll see. Burning white oak tonight.
49 here we had rain almost all day. Wish it was colder it would all be snow. Very sloppy in the yard.
It has been cooling down. 35ºF for the high today. Twenty-something at night. Just cool enough to let the fire go down to a rather smallish pile of coals and then reload without the house getting too warm. Burning red oak. Nice weather to split a wheelbaroow or two of pine by hand in the afternoon. Some big ones to put on deep coal beds in colder weather, some small ones to get a fire going quick on a tiny bed of coals in the morning. Also nice sunny days to try to walk off some of the holiday meals and treats.
Maple, Cherry, Ash mix in the OWB 24* suppose to rise to 38* by morning calling for snow changing to rain into the upper 40's maybe 50 by afternoon.
Both my weather apps tell me we're going to see -26 C or -14 F tonight, not including wind. Currently -25 C or -12 F. Poplar in the reactor. This pipe damper is a God send, five years too late.
26 here, winter weather advisory on for the overnight with snow and ice on the way. No sweat here, took the time between Christmas and New year's off. Bring it! Pine in the IS now, sugar maple on deck for late night duty.
The heavy snow we were getting transitioned into rain then back into snow. We must be sitting on the edge of the storm as no way in heck did we even get anything close to 12-15 inches! Thats fine, they're known for mis-forecasting now and then......
thank you guys at least we didnt get the ice thats when the generator might earn its keep in a few our low as of now looks like -16
A would be happy to take that wind chill. 94F here at the moment with a slight breeze and overcast thankfully. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
