I have a large oak that just died. You can have it. Season it for at least 2 years and you can burn it in your non smoke dragon. It's pretty big at the base but I'd say we can block it down in about 15 minutes.

If I have time tomorrow I will knock it over. What length sticks do you burn? I cut everything at 20" but my marking paint doesn't care.

U just said thanks. I don't need anything. Anyone on this site is good with me. I give away almost all I cut and split. I just enjoy it.

IME it takes a year or two, at least, after the lil bug gets into the tree before they start becoming widow makers...its been around here for quite a while already so a walk in the woods is dangerous now...

I agree with you. It is treacherous here now. I'm no scientist and I don't know what they do to the tree but it kills all the roots. Just a little bump and they come down. No rootball to speak of.

Yep, still a few standing around here, & they're dangerous. I'll cable them, cut notch, leave a hinge & pull em over with the winch from 100' away. Tops drop like death from above. Not cool. Nice work Brandon Scott !

That only applies when it's not a tree in your yard. Don't ask how I know this.:hair:

I've got more to cut as well. All are in my mowed yard. Good news is that ash makes great firewood in a year, bad news is the mess in my yard.:headbang:

THERE SHE IS! I hadn't seen any cats in a blender this morning and was getting worried.

That's better than "diesel showers" at truck stops.
