I suspected that you was my Secret Santa and kind of thought they may of been made from some exotic desert tree. I did not recognize the bark and grain.
Awe smell good chunks. They did fit my coffee cup, that I was drinking from while opening the present, perfectly.
New Mexico Applewood I wonder if it smells any different than Ohio Applewood? I remember back in the early '80s the boss in the department that I was transferred had an old orchard bulldozed down. I told dad I had an old orchard we can cut on. You would have thought dad won the lottery. We cut a lot of wood from that old orchard. Oh boy did it smell good in the fireplace.
Dad has passed but those were the days. I hope when I am dead and gone, my grandkids will reflect back on cutting wood with grandpa.
    Thank you again.

I had to tame some apple trees on our property when we moved in a couple years ago, but kept the limbs for smoking chips and to throw in the fireplace for some good smell. This is the first year we have been able to use them. Glad everything made it to you safely. Merry Christmas!

What a talented lady. She puts a lot of thought and effort into her gifts.
I'll add another mystery to everyone's searching. Someone got a gem of a lady. Congratulations. Now go and search because I can't remember where I saw it. :D:D:D

I did not get in on the SS event this year but I thought I would share what my boys got me this year. I had asked for one of the orange hearing protectors but he couldn't find one so he bought the non orange one. He did get a role of orange duct tape:rofl: :thumbs: Some "after work" relaxing drink stuff is also nice.:beerbbq:

Shall I send you 9/10 of the card?

I appreciate the gift, and have already been eyeing their site to do some shopping.

Not sure if they have any stores near us.

    Any product recommendations?

    Thanks much Gary.

I will fess up. It was me. I went away from a truly wood related item. Glad you liked the gift.
I received a catalogue with this in it. When I first saw it, I thought it would be a wonderful gift for a Vet.
As a Mod of the "Military Outpost Forum", I felt you are proud of your service and rightfully so. Maybe a little cliché, but truly "Thank you for your service."
After I ordered it, I discovered through, "Roll Call", that you are also a Navy Vet. Already had the Coast Guard glass and coaster on order.
Hope you will drink from the glass with pride.

Unless I was having a senior moment or have completely lost my mind, I believe I saw where Dave also served in the Navy from an As You Were Roll Call thread.

Just got an email notice that a package arrived in my Oregon mailbox.

The label reads "LowCountry Olive Oil". Very excited....

Now, to find out :sherlock:who is the guilty one? :seasoned:

Somebody knows I'm an olive oil nerd. :nerd: Lol.
