    The day finally arrived and Secret Santa was nice to me. Even got my beasts somethings.

    A Christmas Story Leg Lamp ornament. Stocking & treats for my kitties. Very thoughtful.
    Fiskars Hatchet. I don't know how a good hatchet feels. My old hatchet is a 15 year old Farm Fleet cheapy. I believe a hammer would be sharper.
    Stack of coaster cookies. Will have to figure out what wood it is made from.
    Stack of super cedar that just may last the season out. Haven't done many cold starts since firing up for the season.

    Fire Flake and I opened our gifts a few minutes ago(I’m still way under the weather :confused: ).
    Hers- from Davis, WVA.... a picture of the “Black Falls” included, gifts along the flap of th box at bottom of pic.
    Mine was from that wiley Amazon.

    I'm really enjoying 2 books that I've wanted for some time. Trees of MI and the Upper Great Lakes and the other is Michigan Trees; A guide to the trees of the Great Lakes Region.

    I really have been wanting these books, so a super thank you is out to my Secret Santa.

    Although I did not give my Secret Santa much to go on, they hit the nail ON THE HEAD!! This looks like a great book for my collection, especially since I am starting a deep dive into Colonial American history! Well done, Santa, and MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!

    Picture in a bit. But I got a gift box from a local store in NH, some pancake mix and real Maple syrup, also some maple candy, a few chocolates, and a gird card to Cabela's!! Thank you SS. It came from NH. So without going back to look, was NH moutain man in on SS this year as he was my first thought. If not him I will have to go look at the others...maybe Brian aka Well Seasoned.

    To whoever my secret Santa is , thank you for the very thoughtful gift. A very useful gift for my outdoor lifestyle. My gift is a electric sharpener, looks like I will be doing way less filling. The sharpener is a great size between a file and angle grinder. I can see using it for axe’s, machetes, shovels, mower blades.

    Looks like that might be New Mexico applewood, so might be better for some smell good chunks for the fire, but that is just an uneducated guess. :whistle:

    Thanks Fire Flake! Those will be absolutely great on our deck. It's our living room most of the year and they make the perfect addition for evening enjoyment. It would be nice if you and Eric could get up our way and help us enjoy them!
