Heat doesn’t bother me, I just don’t prefer it. I have lived with the heat and humidity of the Deep South, the desert of Arizona....give me Alaska!
Not a full load but got as much cut and loaded before the heavy rain started. Should have this split tomorrow and hopefully have time to get another load.
Brought a load over to a senior friend that said he doesn’t have enough to get through the winter. Unfortunately it’s still pretty wet but he had room in his wood shed to stack it off to the side to use when the wood he has runs out.
What a great idea, thanks. Sending pictures to my best friend/firewood partner as we use his loader all the time to bring wood to the splitter. Guessing you are just using forks under the pallet.
Go to see your Hard work didn't go to waste or something . You have plenty of wood to split when that's gone
Forks are under the pallet. I took a pallet apart to make the sides of the pallet carrier. I use the pallet to move both the rounds and the splits.
I finally retired my 1979 Chevy K10 to plow duty only. I picked up this 2002 F-150 to take over firewood hauling duties. Here is the Maden voyage
A small load on the way home. One white birch and one spruce. Took about a half hour. I have my snow machine at work. About a 5 minute one way ride, had the truck loaded in about 45-60 minutes.
Got another pickup load after work. One of my buddies from work helped, it was nice having two snow machines and sleds. Once home my lab —-Jake has to inspect. The pile of rounds is yesterday and today’s load.
I'm jealous of your nice winter temps, and all the snow. not jealous that you burn so much soft stuff and you have no hedge. I got a snowmobile I get to ride twice a year.
Temps come with having snow on the ground for 7 months. I will take the cold to live in a place like Alaska. Cold is what keeps crowds of people from moving and makes half that did move, well they move back after the first winter.
