    Merry Christmas everyone. Slowly the house is awaking. One dog need out at 5:35 AM but then came back to bed. We catching a ferry at 11:35 AM to take Christmas to Mom's so no hurry around here. I didn't get the 1 inch of snow for the morning but I think it might be frosty out. Everyone who is traveling be safe today.

    Been up for hours. Put my bride back to bed (her favorite Christmas present ) while I take care of dogs and cooking.

    Took the pups for a walk then took them with while I split and stacked a bit of ash.

    Homemade cinnamon rolls are rising so we can drop them of to the neighbors and in-laws with their presents.

    When I had hot water set up for washing cars and dishwasher it was at storage temperature which could be 195 F , have since cooled that down to 160F the dishwasher is lasting much longer !

    I scored mega bonus points a few weeks ago by loading the DVR FULL of the hallmark christmas movies. I know my wife had watched them all as they were not in the saved DVR list. :thumbs:

    Schlot I see you and your son in his Army uniform. We have met so many fine young men and women in the military through our family of veterans, including our son.

    I just got back from a few hours in the darkhouse out on the lake within a few blocks of our home . Not sure I was going to spear anything, but didn't see anything anyways...but it was nice and quiet!

    Our three adult children and son in law are coming over for a meal soon, then we are heading to my brother's home to be with my side of the family.

    I guess while all y’all eat fine Christmas meals, and Fire Flake is out with her family celebrating Christmas, my sickly self will just stay home and eat chicken noodle soup... with a couple of sausage balls thrown in for good measure-

    Hang in there man...it could be worse, you could be stuck home sick on Christmas day with...with...with GAS HEAT! :startled: :( ;)
    FWIW, that soup actually looks tasty...not Christmas dinner tasty, but chicken noodle soup tasty for sure! :yes:
