Beautiful trailer! I’m with Ralphie Boy, my half ton is only rated for 10.5 and I wouldn’t push it that hard anyway.

    You can get the 10LX, like we did. 7x12 10K. IMG_20180226_184843463.jpg IMG_20180228_122434742.jpg

How long is your trailer? I'm guessing it's 7'x14'? If it is that size, it will hold 1.53 cords of tightly stacked split wood.

My gut reaction is that trailer with those kind of springs cannot be maxed out with wood unless racks are installed.

I was just going by the standard measurement of cubic feet of cord wood, not weight. But you can max one out without racks, if you are hauling green logs, stacked straight. I think ours, max payload is 6600 or so. I weighed this load of hickory on certified scales, net weight was 7080 lbs. I took it easy on the way home. IMG_20180614_174104.jpg

T.Jeff Veal, how do you manage to burn all the wood you hoard, living down south as you do?

    Nice load BTW.

However the OP's trailer was rated for 14,000 # and is only a little bit bigger. So I stand by what I said, he would be hard pressed to over load it with wood.

Hard to say if I will overload it with wood. If I sell some large hickory logs sllvat once maybe... I suspect throwing my mini excavator on it with a few blocks or splits could do it as the mini weighs just under the load capacity. Either way, I Should be able to move whatever I need to when I need to. Spring time I will share some pics.

6 bundles oak slab bundles in that trailer . Be perfect 12,500 lbs is about right. Your going need a equalizer hitch. And brake booster set to oversize load . Nice rig .

Maybe true. Better to have it and not need it than break something. They make those trailers with 4' sides also.

Try to save some so you can show us how you stack it....:D...or hoarding it for a southern style GTG...:saw::axe::stacker::campfire:...all joking aside, we know it's an addiction, hi, my name is T Jeff, an I can't say no to free trees...

Seriously though, my mama is 92, still able to fire her smoke dragon Fisher stove in a cement block house, she burns about 4 times the wood we do. We burn some, we "gasp" sell some to recoup :makeitrain"spent on gas and fuel, and we have a couple families we are able to bless with wood. The good LORD blesses us and we pass it on.
I would like to have a GTG sometime, if enough people would come.
