I spent several more hours cleaning out a 50gal in bed tool box fuel tank, sat behind neighbors garage over 10 years.Tilting, heating(went through better part of a 5 gal propane grill bottle, with my weed burner),turns out most of the crap coming out was dirt, not rust?If I can put it into the back of the plow truck,to carry an xtra 20 gallons,or more, will help me out,as next month neighbor is going in to have a torn tendon reattached to his foot,an I will plow out his customers,a subcontractor thing. This tank sat many(over 10) years behind neighbors garage, but had a locking gas cap,a concave gas cap.Turns out,the water and dirt collected in the cap,and every rain washed it down through the locking mechanism/valve system. However,I might be able to use this tank for a few years.

Dear husband has christened every single one of our vehicles passenger side mirrors over the decades. All of them.

I had a friend that bought a mid 2000 Denali after we bought the Duramax. We laughed so hard, who would have ever know buttocks get cold in a vehicle? (though I'd always drove fabric seats, not leather til then ). We're sold on heated seats too :dex: We   and  .

Except my cats love to chew and tear at cardboard - not cat proof at all if it were here ;)

My ex damaged every new (or new to me) vehicle I ever had within the first couple of days - or at least before the first payment. He even dropped my brand new Wheel Horse out of the bed of his truck (he "forgot" to take it out of neutral). My first HD he scarred the paint on the fender before I ever got to ride it (they delivered it where he worked for free so he rode it home with his lunch bag tied to the fender instead of to the passenger seat like a normal person would). Never happened to his new stuff - not that he didn't later damage them, but at least it wasn't immediate. Guess I should have taken the hint from his lack of respect for my stuff . . .

Not even impying that is your case wildwest , your comment just brought back memories.

Yeah, those leather seats stay cold! But, gotta admit that I used to roll my eyes when people gushed about their heated seats. Course I had always had fabric seats too. I didn't think I would use the heated seats when I bought the truck last April, but have really learned to appreciate them!

So I got to feeling guilty and useless after posting this and giving my desk a long overdue cleaning. I started about 4 and ended about 7:30. I added in the contents of my filing cabinet My shredder finally got too hot and shut itself down so I had to quit. And like any job where you don't have quite enough to finish, the shredder quit as I had only about 30 old paychecks left to shred.

First picture shows the desk as it was on 11/10/18 - it was a lot worse from dumping all my green belt class stuff on there. In fact, I moved a bunch of stuff to the top of the printer to keep the piles from sliding off to the floor (yes, the top of the printer got cleaned off too).
    Rita and Spot on desk.jpg

Much better and gives Rita more room to sprawl out while I'm on the computer.

    Good deal.

A few years ago I was cruising Craig's list looking for a Suburban.

The was an absolutely beautiful 1991 (Old square body) 4x4 listed and there were tons of pics.

I call the outfit and asked if the rig was still available, the fella says yup, sure is, looking at it out the window right now.

We head on over to take a peek.

Get there and inquire about said vehicle...and nobody seems to know squat.

Finally somebody says "It was moved to the other lot up the street"

I am suspicious of a BS story taking shape here....
I asked real quick "When was it moved" ????

I get "yesterday afternoon" Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat... The dude on the phone less than an hour ago said it was just outside the window?????

We head to the other lot and it's not there ???? Did not really surprise me...

The was a pretty clean 1994 Burb diesel sitting under a tree.

The story turned waaaaaaay ugly after this.

    Just a note.

    Such a whacko outfit.

The salesmen would take offers into this back room and after bowing their head would hand them up (6 foot high semi circular desk) to the three dudes sitting up there.

    OMG what a cluster.

I made them an offer on the 94 Burb and one of the clowns from up on the TOWER came out and got in my face and explained that he did not take offers from customers.

    My response had F'S and M's and A H'S
The azz just stood there while I ran the gamut of profanity at him.

I tossed my business card at him (it fell to the floor) and barked..."If ya want to sell that 94 POS call me...my offer stands"

We get back to town and that clown actually called me back..

He accepted the offer.. we head back over and the rig is ready.. I write the check, the salesman takes it and the paperwork into the dudes at the HIGH TOWER and shortly somebody hurled the keys out the door... plop on the floor.

If I had not seen this happen I would have never believed that any dealer would treat folks this way....

Crappy used car dealer on steroids.

Never did see the cool old Burb though...
