We know that feeling over here in GA. If it's a pretty day, I'm working 12 hr shift, if I'm off, it's raining. Did have 1 day of good weather when I was off first of the week.

We’re at the high of the day OAT at 50 at 6am. Temperatures are supposed to fall into the 20’s tonight so all that wet stuff is gonna freeze. I can’t see outside yet but I think the snow is pretty well gone. It’s still foggy.
78 inside and still burning coals from the few splits I put in last night. We won’t be burning too much today.

16 with a feel just a few underneath that.

It sure was nice not having to shovel for a few days! A bit over a week there for me.

And freeze it shall. On my walk yesterday, I was looking at my frozen prints in the slush slop from the day before alongside the road.

Yep, it’s headed this way but fortunately we don’t have too much left to freeze except for some puddles I suspect. A little snow on top of that could make things interesting.

    30 this morning
    Dusting of snow overnight .
Ran out of shoulder wood 2 nights ago so I shut the englander down and fired up the big guns.
Maple beech and coal in the woodchuck. Sure will be nice with more consistent temps in the house and looooonnnggg burn times.

Still 53° here, gray but no more rain. A little fire to warm up the basement, birch and red maple. My husband sharpened the chain so I can use the saw, today will be fun!

Been holding all day at about 29. Had to get the truck from our mechanic. Power steering lines. Did get a good dusting of snow. Still muddy out there. We are getting a light pelting of sleet. Things are going to be nasty.

We went into Portland today and saw 55 degrees at one point despite the lack of sun. It got up to about 50 at home, but it’s 35 feels like 25 at 9pm so I just loaded the stove with mixed KD stuff. It’s supposed to be in the low 20’s by morning and the heat wave is over for now. It was great to get outside for a bit. 79 in the stove room.
