    Preparing tonight for a 6+ hour run to my parent’s house on the other side of VA tomorrow... quick deal tho, not much visiting to be had... loading up a bunch of their “too costly to move furniture” to bring back here. Some pieces/sets will be sold, some given away. The family pieces will remain here with me and Fire Flake. Thankfully, a good close buddy is making the trip with me, as Fire Flake has to work straight thru til Christmas. This will be the last time I set foot in the 2nd house (in VA) that my dad and I built (with help from others, too) for he and my mom to live in.
    They’re moving to Lake Marion, SC to existing real estate. That’s fine with me and them, considering the perpetual state of my lower back and dad’s age. But still... I’ve been going to that part of the state to see them for some 26 years, longer than the time I spent growing up/living on Long Island- so I’m feeling the nostalgia already.:confused:
    Like they say these days, “Suck it up, buttercup!”:yes:

    I don't think having or showing emotions is bad, but some let it stop them from moving forward with life, that's bad.

    I don't know anyone who hasn't had to deal with "baggage", but some just don't deal with it.
