We are at 30. Not going up or down with a very light snow. Tomorrow is high in mid 20's with sunshine. Then going back up to mid 40's for 4 or 5 days.

Just finished taking back several scoops of wood chips. Was surprised that they dumped another load for us. I told them to keep on dumping as long as they wanted.

The temperature is not bad out there; around 30 but on the tractor it was getting cold.

Well Seasoned I believe Dennis is filling in low wet spots.

Thor if you don't rip off shingles just strap and metal over it really lessens the noise.. Plus cheaper and less work.

May see the single digits overnight tonight.

We had a lot of sun today, but held in the upper 20/low 30's.

My installer won't guarantee the work unless he strips it down to wood. He's BBB award winning, many years in the business. He needs to know the roof underneath is a good. He put down the ice shield rubberized underlayment where needed, he did the whole flatter roof section over the woodstove with it, he does all valleys, and transitions pieces and pulls back the vinyl siding 10 inches and puts the ice shield up under where roof meets siding, so no water can get in that way. I had other companies say they would go right over the shingles and they weren't cheaper quotes.

Forgot I was getting home late tonight and only put a few pieces of wood in the boiler this morning. It was out when I got home but still had plenty of hot water. Got it fired back up.

Baseboards just kicked on....nice and warm in here.

Its 0c/32f and pretty much held there all day. We are having an el nino winter so it will be as mild as puck this winter. Im saving wood but man, I like winter to be winter.... Listening to some Uriah Heep and Purple in front of a small pine fire right now.

26 OAT feels like 13 thanks to the wind chill this morning. 76 inside, still burning coals from the load at 7:30 last night. I’m really liking these 12 hour burns with good heat.
We ended up with 5” that was wet and heavy that I was able to clean up early yesterday afternoon. Some places up north have a foot and it’s still snowing, but at least it’s all snow. Now they’re talking about 2” of rain Friday into Saturday. :picard: That’s gonna be a big mess and create some flooding no doubt. No White Christmas here this year by the looks.
My oil burner started acting up again this morning. Makes me appreciate the Fireview even more. I can’t wait to get this stinking relic of a boiler out of the house. I’m beyond done with burning fuel oil.:hair:
