What do ya think , maybe a cord ? IDK how tall the stack is, they are asking $50 for it all Looks like maybe some mulberry, walnut ,cherry, maybe some maple or pine, I'm just guessing
I don't think that's a full cord between 1/2 and 3/4 maybe. It looks like it would be worth 50 easy just because you didn't have to go through the work of chunking it up.
Because it's rounds, there will be more air space when split. So if it's about 20 ft long and 4 ft tall, it's close to a cord when split. For $50, it's well worth it in my opinion.
$50 worth of work in that stack for sure ! + Gas & oil add up now too. Real close to a full cord when Spit & stacked.
I'm inclined to say its at least a cord when it's split and stacked. That row of rounds looks to be at least 20-25 ft long and maybe 4 ft at highest point. Green and unsplit here is at least $100/cord. I think you got a good deal.
That does look like an easy cord. As far as value, you know your usual cost of acquisition. The thing I would question is how long are the rounds. If they run 18" and you need 16" you are going to do as much cutting as if they were log length and have a pile of cookies left over. Thus diminishing the value of that pile considerably.
Not yet, left a voice message. I think it's worth 50 buck , most if the work is done , some of it won't need splitting and looks like is lined up along a driveway , probably pull up right next to it
Was thinking the same, "No such thing as "easy firewood", some just easier than other." That's even better than a tree service drop off. (already bucked to size , ready to split )
My stacks are 16 feet long, 4 feet high with the splits being 14.75 inches long, they hold .61 of a cord. That's where my guess came from.
Got a call back, I go pick it up tomorrow the guy has a lawn care business so this stuff is from cleaning up people's yards. It's only 15mi, I'm pretty sure there is some mulberry I see in the pic, quite a bit in that area, got some out that way couple times before. I'm not agensed paying for wood I think this a good deal
