Had just enough bar in my 660 (32") to drop and buck this big boy! Thought there might be a little rot in because the top was off, but it was solid all the way through! Got some more work to get it split yet, guessing there will be some noodeling going on!
It can do that. After I droped the tree and bucked the big stuff I switched to my 460 25" and it felt like a trim saw!
wow that's a nice sized saw!!!! and tree too!!!! just curious though, what kind of tree is it? possibly maple? hard to tell without the leaves.
Very nice! Saw and tree! I want a 660 but having a hard time justifying it. Heck of a machine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LOL!!! ya for sure!!!! send that box elder to the mill!!! it makes some beautiful wood. the bark in your pics almost looks like a hard maple but the branches and growth almost look like silver maple. Just guessing though. should be some nice firewood either way.
Thanks! I have.a hard time justifying it also, but it's fun to run. Could have gotten the job done with the 460, just would have taken longer. I'm trying to justify getting a 36" b&c, but hav'nt need it yet.
Got a 36" on my 660 & 32" on my 064 the difference is negligible. Not sure I'd spend the $$$. 660 is a great saw to have if you gotta deal with 24" up & trees. I love mine when I pick it & when I can put it down. Nice drop BTW.
