Very nice! One word of caution, those tandem axels like to pic up nails if you go to landfills to dump loads. That and make sure the cable to the truck battery is charging the one in the storage compartment in the front of the trailer, nothing worse than getting there and not being able to dump your load. I learned from my mistakes and I hope you don't have to go through the same. Nice trailer there, very nice.

Well merry Christmas to you! Awesome gift. Not sure my truck would tow the trailer empty let alone loaded up with 14k pounds, maybe someday. Hoard on man!

Very nice. I like the Beg Tel trailers. Dealer not far from me sells them.

That is a nice trailer, I'd like to replace my 4x8 with a bigger one, but can't really justify it. Besides i built this one, and i've had it for almost 30 yrs. When we first moved back here, i sold it. Then about 6 yrs later on a hunch, went to the guys house, he still had it, so i bought it back, for the same price i sold it too him. Its been a dandy trailer. But, i'd still like to have a little bigger one.

That looks like a great trailer. Congrats!

Good point about the trailer battery charging while towing. I had to add a relay to the fuse box of my F150 in order for the 7 pin trailer plug to charge my RV while towing. The relay was supplied in a bag in tbe glove box, just not installed. Adding a small solar trickle charger to the trailer helps keep the battery topped up when you are not using it for extended periods .

F49C3149-E873-4BF3-9CAA-314D7F90BDC7.jpeg I’ve often wondered if my seven pin is charging. Never checked it.
I bought a 110 volt trickle charger from the trailer company. Could have saved some money buying one from Tractor Supply. Works great though. I’ve never seen the battery get low and I use it to power the winch and dump. Used both daily for more than a week without charging.

If you like tinkering you may want to add a log loader to it ;)

I bought a plug tester like this a few years back from our Canadian version of Harbour Freight for about $15. Bought a 4 wire flat tester too. I had to do some searching to identify why the power wasn't getting to the trailer before figuring out that I needed to install the relay.

Welcome to the Big Tex family. I love ours, we got the 7x12 10LX, 10K. All my F-150 needs to pull. Didn't it come with built in charger in the tool box? Just keep it plugged in when not using it, will keep that battery topped off. Very nice Christmas present. Sure makes unloading a lot easier....
