Sometimes things rolling around in my head seem idiot proof, implemented in real life, proof I'm an idiot!

Hmm, a nice Columbia or Bean fleece jacket in a feminine color might be welcome.

LodgedTree not to second guess the amazing Midwinter but consider a day off for Katie, give her a day at spa, have girls help you clean house and make dinner. Wonderful wives are a blessing!! Let her know!

When my wife was 44, I told her that about 2-22yr olds...she politely reminded me I couldn't handle 2-22's...we still together for 30 yrs...lol

These are some very good answers. I think my hunny would get along with quite a few wives on here. She helps me will everything except running the saw, but wants to be there while I'm cutting. She is very practical, wanted a new splitter instead of a nice diamond for her 30th anniversary. She got her Christmas present Dec 1. It's red and a stick shift, just what she wanted.
She drives the tractor, hooks up the logs for me to load, she is a great help mate and life partner.

My wife is capable, and has offered, but I just like it being my job. I do, however, let my daughter help out as much as she wants to help her learn and realize what she can do!

Well, finally had a whole day off and nice weather. My hunny worked hard today. Just about got my mama completely restocked on wood. We had some that has been cut about a year and some a few months that we CSS. Small trees and big limbs. Got her two nice stacks by the stove and these two 4 X 4 racks.

Is that your new splitter? Looks like she's gotten used to it. Tshirt weather, I envy you! Looks like you both had a great day.

Yes, mam. That is our new splitter, got it in Sept. She does a good job with it. She had a sweatshirt on earlier. It was in the high 50's, low 60's yesterday, started cooling off as the sun went down. It was 30-31° this morning. Just thankful it didn't rain.

My wife is well known in the FHC family for refusing to pick up a piece of firewood even if she is about to fall over it! Not kidding!
