That's what I always thought but I did a scientific test. I used a digital thermometer :) The family room was 2 degrees cooler and the kitchen was over 3 cooler. (No change further in the house) so I left it blowing down. With it on, the airflow was messed up so my return air didn't come back to the stove as I thought it should. Shutting the fan off altogether solved the problem.

If the stove is in the same room, I could see it messing with the convection effect.

I didn't like the results from having the ceiling fan on either. blowing down I got a direct "wind chill" but pulling up send a wind chill effect down the walls - where the sitting furniture is at. Probably messed with the air getting to further rooms too, but I don't remember anymore. My main concern was perceived comfort versus direct evidence. and since I have no one to please but myself, my vote won ;)

I let natural airflow rule when pellet heating as the fans screwed it up if they were used.

Last night I updated my desktop from Office10 to Office Pro 16 - for $7.50. I know it is an "outdated" software package, but it's a lot more up-to-date than what I had. Plus it has Access so I can now start using some homemade databases that I created back in XP and 2007.

That went so well that I decided to buy another license for Office16 for my laptop - and they had lowered the price to $6.50, can't complain about that. The laptop's software was more modern at Office13, but it had even less programs than the desktop since it was a Student version. This time I had to wrangle it a bit, but got it tamed. Thanks to CleanFire for giving the link to the seller - worked out great for me!

Cleaned the P61a since the ash pan was near overflowing after only 2 weeks. I didn't even try to add the mounds of ashes that had fallen outside the pan, I just vacuumed them up. Note to self; do not buy Oakie Platinums again unless the pellet apocalypse has occurred!

Grocery shopping, laundry other various household chores are done. Should get started on the family Christmas cards that I bought yesterday. I'll do that while "watching" the second half of the Pats game.

I did notice slightly more ash with the okies, but very very clean. Glass stays fairly clear considering the number of bags put through it.

Speaking of bags, ton 1 has one bag left and I opened ton 2. Running close to non-stop here. Drop it down a degree at bedtime.

Went to town on the P68 today after hitting BJ's for the essentials, skipped church as I had way to much to do today. Did the what would be for most annual cleaning including leaf blower overall exhaust, usual OCD cleaning and in total 4 hours of cleaning to get the sucker as it was when I brought it home the first day. Will burn Matra's until they are gone as I agree with Bogie the Okie Plats are a pain in the arse. Used a moist towel to clean the ESP probe and it worked like a champ. Overall an extremely productive weekend less any rest and unwinding which one needs to pay attention to. Also replaced the ashpan door gasket as the 3/8" did not work worth a chite so I went Tool time Tim and used 5/8" which I am hoping will compress as I had to force the door shut to get it shut. I thought about using a 1/2" and actually bought one but fux it I went mental and used the 5/8" and did not bend anything plus after it cures got a feeling it will be perfect and currently the stoves is working perfect.

Trying to get the house back up to an acceptable temp as it got pretty chilly after it being down for so long, yes I could have let the oil burning take care of it NOT! I really do not burn oil except for heating my water. Had some thoughts about heading down and grabbing another ton of Mantra's but my shoulder helped me do the right thing and not do it, replaced the fixture on the kitchen sink which probably hurt more than anything as I barely fit under there and had to become a contortionist to get it done but did and I am feeling it between the stove and the sink. Back to Hellvard tomorrow so I will be hitting the sack very shortly and just remembered Badbob that F250 comes with a sporty V plow not that I need it as my driveway is only 30' long :)

    Hope are well and Warm.

IIRC, it was a little over $700. The $626 clearance price I see on the site now seems pretty good, IMO.

I'd buy the stand too, but not from Lowes unless they give you a deal....I see it online for $189

It’s as close to current as you can get B. The newest version was only released 3 months ago so you are good with 2016 for a long while to come. And you can’t beat that price, lol.

Thanks Pete! I had that in my Lowes cart but found a similar Kenmore model at Sears for $550, yes, bought the pedestal. One expensive mistake:doh: . Ran the cistern dry, AGAIN, last night. 40 years of having unlimited tap water so it did not matter, but here, it's a PITA, extra trips for WWW that works more than full time, hands on father, already brings home water several times a week, Not fair to him or us to have him hauling water all the time. Not to mention re-priming the pump.....and all the unexpected things that arise every other time:picard:

Similar 4.5 cf Kenmore with pedestal $748. Front loader that broke in Sept had 5.2 cf but I'm not willing to pay for a bigger drum right now.

Guess I'll put the top loader up for sale and see what I can get out of it. :headbang: Not much use and only 3 months. Pretty much hate it at this point.

I must mention Larry too. He warned me on the XL dog bolster bed and suggested I stay with a front loader. He was right on both accounts as you were Pete on the front loader.

Sure, NOT FUN getting wet laundry out of the frontloader and the toploader was much easier for me, but our particular circumstances far outweigh the ease of moving the clean heavy wet laundry. Wearing my favorite old soft tshirt tonight looking two small tears in the front

Paid the Polaris quad runner off last month, title in hand. Rationalizing that there is $137 a month towards the new washer

I'm pretty sure they are the same. The P43 is smaller.

My stoves clearly dislike the stuff - between the two I haven't even burned 14 bags yet (I got a total of 20 bags and have 6 left). I actually pulled the P43 off the Oakie Plats and went back to TSC MWP's and it is much happier (no cleaning between the change). P61a is just going to have to suffer thru burning them. Glass is very dirty also.

Glad you are having better luck with them!

I bought my back up combustion blower and a 1 rpm auger motor from them.
