Menards had a stinkin blowout sale on the 1800i a few years back...was $699 after sale/rebate...I tried to quick sell the stove we had at the time...no sale...but then someone did call 2 days after the Menards sale ended...I told them it was no longer for sale...then they proceeded to offer even more than I paid for it brand new (it was another smokin Menards sale) :hair:
Good thing it didn't work out though...a couple year later I scored a cheap, but nice, used 1400i on CL, then sold my first stove...turns out even the 14ooi had to be shoehorned into the FP...the 1800 would not have stood a chance of fitting, at least not without some masonry mods anyways...

I have not seen the 1800i lower than the 900ish it was when I got mine. However I do recall many times that they blew stuff out for dirt cheap. I love shopping Menards.

The 1400i is a great choice for folks who have an small fireplace. At lot of 80s and 90s houses that had small fireplaces piped for gas can use these. Still gives good heat just can't hang with big brother on burn times because the firebox is bigger.

When I do a search for the 1800i at menards, it comes up empty. I'm thinking they no longer offer it.

They can still order stuff...sometimes. You have to go to the store to do it though, not online...and even then, any of the Drolet stuff that they don't stock is very seasonal...something changed a few years ago, I wonder if Drolet and Menards didn't butt heads when they had all the Tundra furnaces cracking under warranty...Drolet warrantied them, but you had to take store credit at a Menards store (if that's where you bought it)...I dunno, just thinking (typing) out loud...

Then there's that. Menards doesn't always show online what they have in reality. Fleet farm is even wise with their website. It's gotten better, but still a far cry from a store that actually relies on e-commerce.

I am getting the same thing fella's I guess they are out of that Model currently. I bought mine back in June, sat in the garage till labor day weekend when I installed.

On Drolet site it says if your dealer is out they can restock them? Not sure who has the best price!

    You too, huh?

I can see it already. Shortly after you return from Hawaii, you'll start a thread titled "ready for fireplace insert" and ask for pros and cons of different models!!!

I thought the same thing, however when I tried to look up anything stove related on the menards mobile site I found nothing would open.
