I just took a little walk around the property. Fox tracks everywhere to the yard, away, down to the pond, up some trails. I still need to get a game cam. Maybe Christmas.....

A twenty five dollar Wyze Cam , might work for you , They are not made for outside But I have one outside , As long as you have them under eves or porch roof or Something to protect them A little ,They work fine , You have to get power from somewhere there not battery operated , They use a wall wart like a cell phone .
It will send an alert And a video clip to your phone when motion is sensed, You can also do continuous recording When you put in a Micro SD card

Just this year, our town allowed chickens to be kept. I think I saw that no roosters could be kept though, probably for noise reasons?? Our neighbors ate the next town over, and they have roosters, so I doubt anyone would notice a rooster ;) my wife and I have talked about it a few times, so it might happen.

We'd have issues with foxes and coyotes certainly, and unfortunately you can't discharge a firearm in town limits. But, we could use the constant supply of eggs, and occasional home grown chicken.

I've seen a few moveable coops that I think she'd approve of.

Chicken tractors are the way to go! When we leave the Communist socialist republic of New Jersey, we plan on having Chickens and I did a lot of research on the Chicken tractor. There's about a million plans on line for them!

When we get up there, I'll do what you did Brian, build a coop. I don't have any smooth, flat land yet for a tractor and critters will get under one up there, to rocky. You got the best thing going for my needs. I'll "steal" your plans!:rofl:  You have a nice house for them.
