My favorite pics....Log length loads of oak, kids helping out, a full shed, and the fruits of our labors.
Well so you guys like pics............ Here are the boys and some older ones from memory lane. First few are Yatt and Kade and when I got the 028 Super back from being rebuilt and ported.
I'll call this one, Upping the anty on wood cutting. My neighbor with a roll off business owed me a favor so I got two loads delivered. The 1st load was a 40 yard container. Once I got it loaded the owner/driver said...............Uh I am overweight and only gave me a 30 yarder for the 2nd load. The 1st pic is a good idea of what log cut offs look like on the landing. I cleaned up almost all of this. Some of the logs are in the 1500-2,000 # range.
Here are a few of the boys working. It is quite scenic on top of the ridge. The last is my old trailer that has been retired. Surprising the axel is still straight.
This is my attempt at humor, buy first the background. The landowner on this logging site I have known for 30 years. He wanted me to look over the operation while he was down South, (snowbirds). He told me to show up with a white hard hat and "be the man in charge". OK so I dressed up and old hard hat, my logger buddies are die hard Stihl users. Thought my truck in the 4th pic fit the bill of the Supervisor's truck.
It’s great! We heat about 2100 sq ft. It’s on the main floor, center chimney. No complaints. Second winter with it. We had a Vermont castings before, with a cat. It’s a little different obviously with the new epa style but love the clean burn. What do you have?
Nothing like a truck load of wood. Dump truck has a load of Black birch from a tree taken down at my property. The pick up has a load of maple that was salvaged from the side of the road some body was actually throwing it out!
I have the F55 , I love it, I have it for 6 years now and love it, it heats my 2,000 sq ft house and get some good long burns when its loaded up..
