    Already 50°, but I'm babysitting my grandson, who has a stomach bug. Too sick to go to school but well enough to jump around! I snuck in a dump run, planted some leftover tulip bulbs, and carried some wood in before I left. That's all that will get accomplished today!

    Went to doctor this morning. Wellness check they call it. What in Sam Hill?? What ever happened to a physical? That's like calling a jail a lockup facility and yes, I've seen those... Anyway, all is okay but still need the normal blood work. Now I hope to cut a bit of wood this afternoon if the woods is not too much. Our road is a real mess.

    The little dealer a couple minutes from me has a pair of rangers for sale, a 2010 ready to go and inspected for 6K bucks 90K miles, and a 2007 with 38K miles for 500 bucks, no plates, frame is shot. Prime example of how sitting kills machines....

    Sitting next to the stove while it knocks the chill out of the house.... been w/out fire since Friday evening when outside temps were going up (mid 60’s yesterday). Got to heat plaster walls and ceilings back up before the next big dip in temps + snow starting tomorrow.
    I love the thermal mass aspect of this home, but let it get too cool and it’s a bear to get the upstairs sustainably warm. But once “recharged,” it’s super comfy.
