Hit 43.7 °F for a high today. Had some wind but nothing too bad. Currently 37.0 °F with a mix in the stove.
38 here, think it hit 44 earlier, but it was a wet day. Took advantage of the dry your around 4pm to get micro-me outside to play in the slush for a while. Just like dad, she gets a little nutty if she's cooped up all day! Red maple load from 7:30 this morning keeping the inside at 75.
Geez we hope you don’t fall either Stinny! Just keep telling yourself it ain’t gonna happen, and plan ahead every time you go out. I have a set of those strap on chains that work really well when it’s icy. They just slip on over my boots. Just FYI...
High today 60. Good day to get outside work done. It has been quickly falling after the sun went down Presently 44 and the guesser are saying 38 for the low.
Pretty sure it was Stinny who told me about those, so I bought a set. I've used 'em.......once. I need a convenient habit making plan to use them this winter.
Headed for a cooler pattern of weather. Highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s for the next week or more. Got to put another 36 hour load in the boiler tomorrow morning.
37F here with some rain still. It got to 48 briefly, but rained. Spent a bit of time fixing the computer then, went out & restocked more Silver Maple near the boiler. Nice to do that when I have time. Loaded for overnight with the silver & came in wet. At least the carport keeps me dry while loading. Snow's melted, ground is mush & the sun is pretty much gone & has been. Supposed to get colder again tomorrow & I hope the air dries out some.
Starting next Sunday through the 19th, we'll have mid to upper 30s during the day. Anybody else think that's a little weird? Seems like Dec. should be a bit cooler than that.
32 and fogged in this morning, but supposed to clear out and hit almost 50 this afternoon. It’s a one day deal then back below freezing with wind chills in the teens and 20’s. No storms in sight though. 77 inside still on last nights coals and 350 STT after 10+ hours.
20's for a couple days and mid teens coming up for highs. And snow....lets not forget that....snow is in the forecast too. Radio station said 48" so far; but that was last week.
34F with straight Pine keeping things warm here. Still spitting rain and the rain we received yesterday has made everything very wet out there.
I saw one MI forecast that said a relatively warm December and early January then much below for the rest of Jan and Feb.
Amazing that we got into the 50's yesterday before the rain hit. Only 32 predicted for today. I'm hoping it did not get soft in the woods. Have a doctor apt in half an hour then hoping to cut some wood today.
Good luck at the appointment! And if he says "take your pants off for a digital exam....you can put your pants over there by mine"............don't do it!
57ºF outside today so far. 37ºF forecast for tomorrow. I don't think I have enough ashes to clean out but I suppose I could clean the window.
It's 37 here with a good breeze out of the NW. Spitting drizzle too. Feels a lot colder than the thermometer says. Just loaded the boiler down with enough to get me through until tomorrow night when I get back home from my trip over to OH. With this load I'll have officially burned 1/2 cord since I moved the pile over in the middle of October. I've also ran a few loads of misc junk from cutting and cleaning out the barn. I'm super impressed with how little wood I'm burning.
"I need a convenient habit making plan to use them this winter" ... that's zactly my problem... my "plan" is apparently to wait until I take that next ride down to the ground, and then use the pain as an incentive to put those @#%^$&*# gripper thingys on my feets next time... ... ...
