...I sincerely hope our firewood family and ALL Alaskans are all OK up there, wow that was a big one...... bogydave Rope bushpilot and everyone else up there, please keep us posted.....
I literally just found out about the earthquake at 2:50pm EST. Details are still coming in, hope to hear from our members soon.....
Luckily no reports of deaths. Lot of infrastructure damage. Right now no way by road in or out of Anchorage. Airport was just reopened. There are a few member down in the Mat-Su valley. Land slides are abundant and bridges are out. I am 327 miles from Anchorage. My household was spared any damage. Thank you for your thoughts. Tom
My BIL lives just east of Wasilla. He was at work. He sheltered under a desk. Most of the damage in his work place was broken pipes. Hot water heat. His house is fine. Power was off for a couple of hours. He has emergency food, water and generator....so he will be fine. He said it was quit an experience.
I'm sure it was quite the experience! I'm glad to hear he's OK and that he has some provisions. Thanks for checking in with us!
Crazy uncle checkin' in. All's well here in Northern Mi. Glad to hear none of our Alaskan members have serious damage to deal with, and that they're safe.
Yeah, I'm fine in Eastern WA as well It must the NC-30 brotherhood that throws them off But my loved-ones in AK are fine as well.
