    There are several in this part of the woods. I’ve counted three from my deer stand. Obviously I haven’t had much luck hunting because I’m posting burl pics. Thanks for the response Ralphie Boy.

    Looks like "cat face" damage.

    I wonder if the repair growth around the opening would be burl like?

    Damaged tree repairing itself. Lots of ingrown bark. Not burl.

    Jeez.. damaged a while ago, grew around it and prolly recovered from disease of the damaged area and is now ok. Ready for a couple bowl projects. Lol
