Mine don't last as many years as they will say they can, but when you do the stated hours of life for them it works out. I think I seem to get 3 years out of them. That's what the last set last. This is season 3 on this set so we will see.

Do it so your not having to do it last minute in a rush. I say that and am always running around last minute to do things.

I spent another hour or so moving ash up into the "woodshed" all that is left now is along the road, which is down a long slow incline, then a pretty sharp incline just before the road. No way I'm gonna wheelbarrow that stuff up. I'll pull the Bronco up to the fence and toss it in, then drive around the house. Should be ready for a porch reload by then, which will finish off everything for this winter.

    That's about $1700/cord.
    Seems pricey.

The Good IMG_7509.JPG The Bad IMG_7512.JPG The it worked out anyway IMG_7514.JPG And the Someday IMG_7516.JPG grabbed a couple hours this afternoon.
Forester told me to cut all the maples I want, they're like weeds.
So I grabbed a couple. First one behaved itself. The second one not so much.
Lastly, I've been watching this widowmaker oak for a year now. I think it's moved but would need to go back and look at pictures. The maples holding it up is not giving in.

Snowblower ready and up by the garage. We got our Christmas tree, a Michigan Grand Fir. We've never seen this tree for sale before. It's really got a nice smell to it, and it's more fragrant than any other tree I recall. The whole house smells like Christmas. :tree:

I'll surely need to readjust the tree in the stand to make sure it's straight, but I'll let it get its branches unfurled first.

Home Depot had a deal on orchids, so I got 2 of them today for $5 each. Plus I got the wood stack on the patio covered with a tarp, and I got the dynatrap cleaned and I swapped bulbs on it as one must have burnt out at the end of the season. It'll be ready for next spring.

I also got the driveway clear of leaves and twigs so when I have to snowblow, it will be much easier.

So, I just have to get more changed up on the garage, and maybe if it's not snowing too hard tomorrow, I can cut up more of that ash.

Well I had to replace the non bedroom zone thermostat today.. They apparently only last 15 years before they stop working. If when it stopped working it just didn't call for heat I probably would not noticed. However it called for heat consistently regardless of how warm it was.
Since house was hot, seemed like good time to let stove cool and clean out check gaskets etc.

I thought I saw a price of $15 for 3 small 1.5-2" diameter birch branches that were 3 feet long. Lol

Got to drop the undermount kitchen sink and put in a new bead of silicon tonight. After that I'm hitting the shower then the couch.

Went and tallied up the wood stache today....sitting on about 20 cord. Didn't think I had that much.

I was devastated when my 20 yr old microwave died. The next one wasn't as good. We don't have a microwave anymore. Took a little while to get use to not having it.

Id miss the microwave but in the last 31 years the only dishwasher I have had is my wife. I have asked her if she ever wanted one and she said by the time she rinses everything of and loads then unloads the darn thing she can do them faster by hand. I will admit Im not fast at doing the dishes but she is.

Better than not getting older (dead).

I'm only 37. Just a snug fit under there with wide shoulders. .

It did. We were using a splatter guard for years and the vent hole in the center I figured concentrated heat to blister the paint. I'm keeping the transformer to try fractal wood burning at some point.
