It got up to 47 here today! WTH? Spent the day in the woods; only saw three. The warm weather made it nice for walking but man, did we ever lose the snow! Its going to start raining now all through the night so we'll probably lose the rest of it....maybe.

Supposed to be a low of 11°F tonight, but it's already 7°F and dropping. House warm from running the WS all day, but will do a load before bed tonight. Still watching the forecast for later tomorrow for freezing rain.

It’s supposed to be almost 40 here today so I’m letting the fire go out for a good cleaning.

Yeah, it rained during the night; just not too heavy. Yeah, it was in the 30's (above freezing) all night too. But...

sure didn't lose the snow like I thought we would. I was expecting to see lawn this morning on the trek to the OWB, but even the path still has snow cover!

37f now, temps will drop and rain turn to snow.

Big warm up this weekend. Mid 50s during the day and 40s at night. Good time to burn down some coals in the boiler....they're getting deep.

43F all night with some drizzle, left the coals in the boiler, just raked them around. Rain today & tomorrow, then possible snow Monday. We'll see I guess.

Still spring here. It is funny watching the weather forecasts. They change at least 3 times each day and sometimes more often. They are forecasting snow mostly for Sunday night. But it is funny watching how the amount changes. It changed 3 times yesterday and of course, it started out different today. By noon it should change again. Methinks it would be better just to predict some snow and leave the quantities alone until the storm hits. It would make them look lesser like fools.

43° burning a little chunky monkey silver maple pieces. This is from the silver maple that I got the tree service to drop at my house this spring. I brought up a few pieces yesterday to try out and they burned very nicely. So I took up a cart full last night before it started raining.

Well, it's lightly raining, and that silver maple had the house at 70°.

Now tomorrow, the guessers have no clue, but they expect snow. Could be 2", could be a half a foot. I don't care. I've got wood. Bring it.

Not too bad today, -9 C feels -14 C or 16 F feels 7 F. It was supposed to drop to -15 C feels -20 C last night, but never happened. I like when the forecast is wrong the right way.
