We just bought more, and wife made a salad with it. She just (literally 5 minutes ago) mentioned this.
Bad thing is, we love Romaine. :headbang:

What, no salad? You might just have to force yourself to have more potato and gravy, or maybe some pecan pie! That ought to fill that void.

The Dr said I could have bean sprouts and water. I told him bean sprouts had salmonella on them! He said we'll wash them really good.

I love it too. I have cobb salads for work most days. I'd say my eating of a salad for lunch has contributed a lot to my losing of more than 20 lbs. I told my wife, use iceberg, spinach, red leaf, butter lettuce, etc.

I hope this gets solved soon.

That's pretty much a cobb salad. Just a more manly way of saying it for those that need the ego boost. ;)

I'm sure the new people I work with ask " that big dude eats a salad nearly every day for lunch. What kind of guy does that?". Granted, I'll never hear them say it because they won't speak it.

    So I'll say it.

I'm 6'4", 237 lbs I'll eat what I please. Actually, eating these salads lets me eat the bad for you stuff on the weekends.:)

Amen Horkn I do the same thing, am a weekend warrior. I try and eat healthy all week, which includes a few salads for lunch at work. So on the weekends that allows me to indulge a little bit into the other good stuff. Ice Cream is one of my kryptonites along with PB, I can wipe that stuff out quick!!!

Salads for lunch instead of bread and/or pasta made it possible to get my belt three notches smaller and down one pants size plus a little. That and walking and running 5 miles a day. But the salads accounted for most of it.

Until they can figure out the source and the channels that source has served, condemning all romaine lettuce is pretty much the prudent thing to do.

One of my sisters always brings a huge salad too. Iceberg lettuce, baby greens, kale, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and what not have not been recalled.
