HJ Good work. How much wood do you go through in a season? What do you burn in? What are you heating?

They got the beans picked last weekend but it rained this weekend. I only got a little time in that field before he gets his wheat in. Still hasn't picked corn yet but after he does look out.

I burn around 5 cord a year between the house and shop. House is a Yukon furnace and shop is old wood furnace that was in the house. Currently im heating about 3 acres . Old farm house about 2000 sq feet with no insulation in walls yet but we did blow in about 30" in attic last fall. I jokingly tell everyone I can keep all the snow melted up to 3 feet from the house.

Holy smokes! Very neat and purdy.. At 5 cords use a year, it appears you are ( way) ahead of the game. Good job!

HJ Simpson. How much total wood do you have, approximately, all cut/split/stacked?

When you count how many beers you've had. Does wiskey count as beer? :D

You telling us that you weren't even tempted to turn just one of those splits into kindling? :)
