I can't really ask others for pics, If I don't throw some out there myself. Taken DSCN2085.JPG DSCN2086.JPG DSCN2087.JPG DSCN2088.JPG DSCN2089.JPG 5 mins. ago. We have about 5" of snow on the ground, except under the pines. I brushed the tops of the stacks off, snow is coming down steady all morning, and I'm loving every minute of it.

NH mountain man you really are making me look bad now. Love the pics! Looks like the little babies are asleep in their cribs under fluffy white blankets. Hope that tree service contact works out for you!

Nice looking stacks, what's the top cover? Can't tell with the snow. It's pretty steady here too.

Most of the top of the stacks scrap ply wood from work, and a few tarps where I haven't plywooded yet.

Some just in pics, The brook, not big now, but gets 4' wide during snow melt. A pic of another stack, the rounds, still to be split came from WeldrDave 's place in October, tucked in for the winter. By late winter there may be 3' to 4 ' of snow here. We shall see. Don’t know about anyone else but I’ve noticed lots of free wood all summer on both CL and FB. Now that winter is beginning everyone wants money for it. It’s not the same wood so maybe just a fluke. See what happens come spring when people are more concerned with a clean yard than haggling over wood.
Yes I like FB better than CL. Crooks don’t like to show their faces.

I scrounge CL and find plenty in my area, but early in the spring through the heat of summer, as soon as the fall chill is on, they disappear instantly.
I've also had great success posting that I remove trees on local Facebook pages.
My city has at least 4, and two are very active, posting there got me more replies than I could handle.
