Just where you push or shovel snow so it's banked against the trailer skirting, about 2 or 2 1/2 feet high, it keeps the floors warmer and blocks little drafts. When there's freeze/thaw cycles, it's hard to push snow as if you were shoveling ice off to skate or pushing snow off your driveway. Then you instead have to scoop and throw it.

Ok im following you, just exactly what you said. Your banking snow to keep it insulated and stop drafts. I was thinking this was some weird process or procedure of applying and removing snow? Haha

31 oat temp now, extremely strong wind gusts that are causing downdraft, getting a few puffs into the house. Gonna be in the teens tonight and with this wind it will feel subzero. I hope the wind dies down and all the folks up to Well Seasoned way get their power back.

Today I gave up and dug out the Carhartts. It is nice and sunny but cold. It's going to be a cold start for rifle deer season in the morning. That's okay. I'll be in a blind tomorrow morning and do have heat if it is really needed but doubt it will be.

My kind of deer hunting! Enough with that trompin around in knee deep snow and high winds. That ship has sailed:yes:

Just loaded up the boiler with a bunch of walnut chunks and uglies. Got another load or 2 of some misc stuff that needs to go away so I might as well burn it now before it gets too cold. Kinda interested to see how well the boiler runs on less than primo firewood too.

Mostly just wanting to see if I can get a good clean burn going with weird sized stuff. Seems to run the best when I stack it in there tight.

My stove is going with some oak. Set down and a lower burn producing heat to heat the house. It's 46f here.
