Pretty much. Except we don't get girls in grass skirts and coconut bras. Not that easily. Although I've already requested that from my wife. That and you have to get to know the girl before you get a lei.

You get a lei, you get a lei, and you get a lei!

 :lol:Chevy, Ford or whatever. I like putting a plow on 3/4 ton trucks. Not crazy about doing it on a 1/2 ton.

Caffeine and breakfast with Dad this morning. Hopefully it’s going to be another nice weather day like yesterday. A little work and a little play would be gooder.

Monin all... :coffee:... so, this will be my first winter, in a loooong time, that my snow defense equipment won't be a plow and a heated cab... o_O Decided that walking & moving has much better after effects than sitting & plowing. Sold both the Jeep and the Suzuki atv on tracks. Bought a 32" Honda tracked snowblower and put a cab on it. I played with it this last snow dump we had of about 3" wet sloppy sludge snow. Launched that crap a country mile. That was new. They usually just plug up. The power steering is nuts. All I have to do is walk behind and move the controls. That's new too. Always have had to bull a blower around. Best part... got my ole fav boots stretched, and they now fit great with extra socks. I'm ready. Haven't given up all of my old snow movin gear tho... still have the small JD tractor &
bucket to bust up the occasional crusty or frozen stuff. Might get some deeper snow this Friday... :rootintootin:

    Have a great week !!!

I can get a used western plow installed on the green truck for around 2600. Yeah, it would be nice.....but maybe after this last blast of snow, its sold!

Glad you didn't sell the tractor. Still have the wife and the dog?
Those walk behind snowblowers like yours are so easy to use. Big issue is the slush. Snowblowers and slush are a bad mix. Make sure you get some spare pins. You'll be replacing them when you get into something solid, like ice chunks. I have a machine like you just bought. It gets very little use. My son prefers to blow.

Just reading this post makes me cold. Our temps have been hovering just above freezing with the westerly wind. I think it will warm up and rain tomorrow and the rest of the week. I am hoping we don't get any snow until Christmas day for the day and then melt.

Yeah, the other 3 blowers I've had years ago were useless in sloppy wet snow. This Honda had no prob sending it without getting plugged. Have plenty of shear pins. My son has the same rig and gave me a heads up. I have to roof rake after each storm, so both decks get loaded with concrete packed snow. Can tell this rig will be a joy to run and should deal with that heavy stuff easily.

Busy day yesterday at Mom's catching up on little projects. Busy here today getting projects done. campinspecter has gone out for another load of firewood. It is hard to resist when it is only 20 mins away from the house. I am sure we will find room for it. :D

Woke up to a cold house this morning. Well, not really cold, but cool. So got up and started a fire. It got down all the way to 70 in here before the fire!!! Heavens, that is too cool for a house in the winter months.

 , My wife likes the temp unreasonably warm. If the temp gets down to 74 F, she starts up making noise until I can't stand it, relent and increase the stove temp. I bought her an electric comforter, but she would rather make noise until the stove is turned up. :hair:

As weather is Predicted to get wintry, I put the Snows on wifes and my car. Better to have them and not need them then vice versa!

Well, by your own admission, I guess it has finally happened.

You have turned into the guy that everyone hates inviting to the hunting camp because you keep it too damm hot!!

Not a bad idea, but probably just being paranoid. I guess with a paved lot, if there was any leakage it should just flow out into the sewer system. Probably a lot safer than being near a gas station with underground tanks, but it'd still put me a little on edge.

That spot is open till 8 PM weekdays, till 5 Saturdays and for a few hours on Sunday too. I wonder if they're more worried about constant noise (mind you I'm sure that 4-5 lane commercial road ain't quiet either) or perhaps that the shop will take an "interest" in my uncles side gig repairing vehicles.

In some ways it's a bad spot to live, but in other ways it has a lot of advantages. No need to worry about bad neighbors once the businesses close up for the night, and plenty of parking, well water, and up out back is still woods, almost like a slice of the country if you're not looking toward the road. Sad thing is, it used to actually be out in the country.
